InTransit Freight Sales/Broker – Full-time position

Conditions

  • 12 days of Paid Time Off, 3 sick days, 7 paid holidays
  • Base Salary plus commission depending on volume.

 

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with truck drivers and customers either by answering their calls or placing outbound calls.
  • Track shipment status, reply to emails and process updates on arrival times.
  • Independently manage the needs of customers.
  • Update account information in a comprehensive database.
  • Continuously maintain quotas, goals and metrics for service standards.
  • Think on your feet and accurately notate and determine issues with customers and their inquiries.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Freight Broker (Freight broker school does not count as experience).
  • Established customer base with a drive and motivation to continually grow your pool of shippers.
  • Burning desire to own and operate your own business.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent computer navigation skills.
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as on a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
